The Rotary Festival of Trees is a community event that offers something for everyone.

Local businesses can get involved by sponsoring a decorated Christmas tree or wreath, or by donating funds or materials towards the good of the Festival.

Sponsored trees will be professionally decorated, or can be decorated in themes prescribed by the tree sponsor. Many businesses will invite their employees to decorate their tree with products sold or manufactured by the sponsor.

Sponsored trees will be exhibited at festival central,
Orillia Square Mall.,
during the Festival from November 25th to December 6th, 2009. During that time, the public will be invited to view the trees as they adorn the land of wonders.

A number of special event areas
are also planned during the Festival, including a Fashion Show, a Teddy Bear Breakfast for children and a Gala Evening for adults.
Also new for 2009, will be a Ginger Bread House Contest. A limited number of
advance tickets are being sold for these events. For ticket information, you can
contact Rotarian Reid Asselstine at 325-5524 or via e-mail at
rotary4555@rogers.com .

During the Festival, the public will be invited to buy, bid on and/or purchase raffle tickets to win the trees on display, enabling patrons to take home these wonderfully decorated trees with all of their fixings. Proceeds from sponsorships and the sale of trees will go toward needed community projects.
